AMAFERM® is an extract of a non-pathogenic strain of the fungus Aspergillus oryzae obtained from a deep culture fermentation method to produce the product Amaferm.
This is done according to a patented procedure at a HACCP-certified Safe Foods Safe Feeds facility. The product is considered by the United States Food and Drug Administration as a GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe) substance. It is approved for use in the European Union (Commission Regulation (EC) No 537/2007 of 15 May 2007), and it complies with all United States Department of Agriculture regulations required for use in ‘non-antibiotic’ feeding and marketing claims.
