BioZyme® Inc. announces a new distribution agreement with Allied Nutrition for South Africa and the Sub-Saharan countries including Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Kenya.
“The relationship between Allied Nutrition and BioZyme goes back a while, as Provimi appointed Allied Nutrition to oversee the distribution of Amaferm® previously,” explains Volker Altenbokum, Director of International Business Development at BioZyme. “We are happy we can now partner directly with Allied Nutrition.”
Amaferm is a feed additive that impacts intake, digestibility and absorption of nutrients in an animal’s diet. Amaferm is a research-proven, precision-based prebiotic that is created from a select strain of Aspergillus oryzae. The addition of Amaferm to Allied Nutrition’s portfolio is a very special moment for Rudolf van der Veen, Owner and Managing Director of Allied Nutrition.
“We put a lot of effort into Amaferm and were very impressed by the results. Now dealing directly with BioZyme opens us many more possibilities to serve our valued customers. We have designed a very progressive strategy to recover the customers we served before,” van der Veen said.
“It is amazing to see how much more technical expertise and research was added to Amaferm over the last years. The support that BioZyme is adding to the product is outstanding, and we will surely profit from this. The focus on intake, digestibility and absorption brings a new angle of arguments for and supports and explains the good results we had seen in the past,” emphasized Frans Hagg, Technical Sales Manager at Allied Nutrition.
“The outreach that Allied Nutrition has will accelerate the application of Amaferm in multiple species. Allied Nutrition’s portfolio of products underlines the market reputation. We are very grateful for this opportunity” said Lisa Norton, President and COO of BioZyme. “The region will play an important role in our International Expansion Strategy.”
BioZyme, a global company, has been in business for 70 years. The company reaches a market of customers throughout the U.S., Canada, South America, Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Indian Subcontinent.
