Sasha Tozzi, Ph.D., is the new Vice President of Operations at BioZyme® Inc. In his role, he will oversee the manufacturing processes and people to continue BioZyme’s tradition of safe, accurate products. He will also manage the quality and cost of operations within the company, a global fermentation leader.

Tozzi brings more than 15 years of expertise in fermentation, operations, leadership, product development, and strategic planning to his role at BioZyme. He most recently worked at GenCanna, where he oversaw manufacturing operations and the development and launch of new products. He has also served in leadership roles at Alltech Inc. and Aurora Algae Inc. Sasha started his own biotech consulting firm, specializing in solutions for both international biotech companies and startups. He prides himself on working closely with the CEOs to align corporate goals from the top down. This helps achieve growth and success for every business. He is excited about the opportunities at BioZyme, both with our own products and the expanded tolling fermentation division.

Sasha Tozzi earned his Ph.D. in Marine Science from the College of William and Mary. He has a Master of Science in Oceanography from Rutgers. He has authored more than 40 publications and received the prestigious National Science Foundation U.S. Antarctic Service Medal. He is based in Lexington, Kentucky, home to BioZyme’s sister company, Cogent Solutions Group. Dr. Tozzi is married to Amy DiCarlantonio, and they have a daughter Sonia. He enjoys family time, cooking, traveling, and sailing.
