Here is some helpful information to help you ensure your customers are comparing apples to apples!<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong>When analyzing feed tags, you must adjust for feeding rate in order to properly compare products. See example charts below.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><b>Protein, Fat, Fiber and Macro Minerals<br \/>\n<\/b>(calcium, phosphorus, magnesium and potassium) are listed as a % minimum or maximum.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A supplement that is 20% protein would contain 0.20 lb. of protein in each 1 lb. of feed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2019 alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/biozymeinc.com\/dealer-center\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2016\/09\/Screen-Shot-2016-09-14-at-3.23.41-PM.png\" alt=\"screen-shot-2016-09-14-at-3-23-41-pm\" width=\"435\" height=\"182\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Trace Minerals<br \/>\n<\/strong>(copper, zinc, manganese and selenium) are expressed as \u201cppm\u201d or parts per million.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\">One part per million is the same as one milligram per kilogram<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">1 kilogram = 2.2 pounds<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Must know feeding rate in pounds to truly compare ppm<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2018\" src=\"http:\/\/biozymeinc.com\/dealer-center\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2016\/09\/Screen-Shot-2016-09-14-at-3.23.51-PM.png\" alt=\"screen-shot-2016-09-14-at-3-23-51-pm\" width=\"390\" height=\"184\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Vitamins A, D and E<\/strong><br \/>\nare expressed in IU\/lb.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\">An IU is an International Unit and is based on the effectiveness of a particular vitamin.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">A supplement that lists 100 IU\/lb. of Vitamin E, fed at 5 lbs. per day, provides 500 IU\u2019s per day.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">A supplement that lists 800 IU\/lb. of Vitamin E, fed at 4 oz. per day, provides 200 IU\u2019s per day (4 oz.\/16 oz. = .25 times 800 IU\/lb.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2020\" src=\"http:\/\/biozymeinc.com\/dealer-center\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2016\/09\/Screen-Shot-2016-09-14-at-3.27.37-PM.png\" alt=\"screen-shot-2016-09-14-at-3-27-37-pm\" width=\"524\" height=\"412\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Helping your customers properly analyze tags is important when comparing products.
