Three Join BioZyme Supplement, Additive Teams

Tanner Barnes and Trey Garbett have joined BioZyme® Inc., as Area Sales Managers. John Cass is the Senior Manager of Additive Sales – South. In their roles, they will represent BioZyme and its brands to dealers and distributors in their specific regions, while educating others about the research-proven products made by the 75-year-old fermentation company with headquarters in Saint Joseph, Missouri.  

Meet Tanner Barnes 

Tanner Barnes is the Area Sales Manager (ASM) for Kansas. Barnes has a wealth of diverse experience that will help him succeed in his sales role at BioZyme. He has sales experience and most recently worked on his in-laws’ diversified livestock and row crop farm in Indiana, running cows and managing a feedlot. He was raised on his family’s cattle operation near Stephenville, Texas, showing cattle, sheep, and goats in 4-H and FFA. He was on the livestock judging teams at Butler Community College and Texas Tech University, where he earned a bachelor’s in Animal Science with a minor in Ag Business. He enjoys hunting, fishing, judging livestock shows and helping young people succeed with their livestock show projects. He and his wife, Megan, have settled in Olsburg, Kansas. 

“I’m looking forward to getting out and meeting customers and growing the business in Kansas,” Barnes said. “Meeting the people behind the products solidified this decision for me. I didn’t want to work at a company where the products didn’t do what we say they do, and the research and the products stand up to their word.” 

Meet Trey Garbett  

Trey Garbett, Perry, Georgia, is the ASM in Florida and Georgia. He most recently worked as a breeder flock advisor at Perdue Farms, where he oversaw more than seven 2-house breeder farms – more than 200,000 laying hens. He attended Fort Scott Community College, where he was on its livestock judging team. He then earned a bachelor’s in Ag Communications from the University of Georgia in December 2023. The Georgia native grew up showing cattle and pigs. He enjoys spending time with his long-time girlfriend and their dogs, going to concerts and grilling. He has recently started raising show goats. He used Sure Champ products during his own show career, and he’s excited to return to the livestock industry. 

“I am a believer in the BioZyme products, and I love where I come from. I was excited when this territory position opened up,” Garbett said. “I want to help grow this area, but more importantly, I want to become a trusted resource in the community down here.”

Meet John Cass 

John Cass brings extensive experience to his role as Senior Manager of Additive Sales – South. A third-generation stocker operator, raised in the Texas panhandle, he earned both his bachelor’s and master’s in Animal Science from Texas Tech University. He has experience in feed additive sales and automotive financing and most recently worked for Dairy Max, a producer-owned check-off initiative, where he led director-level promotions. Cass has recently remarried Chrystal Vickers Cass and relocated to Richmond, Texas. He is the proud dad to two children and two bonus children. He enjoys the outdoors and loves to hunt. He also enjoys creative live edge woodworking and working with epoxy. 

“It’s a win-win to help a territory succeed. I enjoy additive sales and look forward to continuing to bring something to this remarkable team,” Cass said.
