Dr. Ipharraguerre is currently Director of Research and Innovation at BioZyme Inc. and Senior Scientist at the Institute of Human Nutrition and Food Science, University of Kiel, Germany. He received a degree in Agricultural Sciences from University of Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1995. After serving 3 years as Technical Consultant (ZENECA S.A.I.C.) in Argentina, he began his graduate studies at the University of Illinois, where he obtained his master’s degree (2001) and Ph.D. (2004) in Animal Sciences. At that time, his research interest revolved around protein nutrition of dairy cattle. He joined Cargill Animal Nutrition in 2005 as Innovation Development Manager (USA) and two years later, he decided to continue his professional career in Spain at Lucta S.A. as Innovation Team Leader of the Feed Additives Division. In these positions, Dr. Ipharraguerre was in charge of leading innovation teams, company-owned research farms and laboratories, academic collaborations with more than 20 universities and research institutes and several partnerships with industry and academia. He was also involved in the development and market deployment of several feed additives. He is author or co-author of more than 100 publications, including 42 peer-reviewed journal articles, two book chapters, and two patents.
