BioZyme® Welcomes Research Intern to St. Joseph

BioZyme® Inc., the maker of brands like VitaFerm® and Vita Charge®, is excited to welcome Mason DeVooght as its summer research intern to St. Joseph, Mo. DeVooght is working on the initial phases of a reproductive success bench marking project.

DeVooght, originally from Savannah, Mo., is a senior at Northwest Missouri State University. He is majoring in Agribusiness, and is working with BioZyme to build a database of beef cattle operations that use the BioZyme products with a focus on reproductive efficiency.

“The most exciting thing for me is learning about the industry and seeing how products help with the livelihood of animals,” DeVooght said.

DeVooght has worked closely with Dr. Twig Marston, Beef Business Development & Field Support, to develop how the information will be compiled. He will also work with the Area Sales Manager to gather the initial data.

“Mason is a good thinker who wants to be a part of the industry,” Marston said. “He has a great background in information and technology, and is a fast learner who will be a continual learner now and in the future.”

The research internship is based in St. Joseph, and will allow DeVooght to interact with nutritionists, sales staff and producers across the country.

BioZyme® Hires Richard Moats as Area Sales Manager in Montana & North Dakota

(SAINT JOSEPH, Mo., May 31, 2017) Richard Moats has been hired to represent BioZyme Inc., as its Area Sales Manager (ASM) in Montana and North Dakota. He brings a wealth of nutrition sales experience to BioZyme, and has worked around cattle and horses nearly his entire life. As an ASM, Moats will work to develop new and build upon current dealer and customer relations while promoting the BioZyme line of products.

Moats, a Montana native, has a vast knowledge of the nutrition business and sales. He previously owned and operated Moats Ranch Supply, and then became a territory manager for Hubbard Feeds. He continued work in feed sales for Ridley Block Operations, a division of Ridley Inc., and he specialized in opening up new territories with the help of distributors in the network.

“I look forward to selling products to people to help them be more profitable,” Moats said. “I have a passion to help producers expand their operation and make it better. I am excited to bring new products to people and to see them be successful.”

Moats is married to his counselor and traveling companion, Rosie. He enjoys rodeo, team roping, hunting, guiding fishing trips and working with horses.

BioZyme® Welcomes Summer Intern to Saint Joseph

(SAINT JOSEPH, Mo., June 1, 2017) BioZyme® Inc., the maker of brands like Sure Champ® and Vita Charge®, is excited to welcome a marketing and communications intern to its team this summer. Ailee Langdon, Anamosa, Iowa, will represent BioZyme and its various product lines at events across the United States.

“The internships are another way BioZyme can support young people interested in agriculture,” said Crystal Blin, Marketing Programs Manager for BioZyme. “Our summer intern is confident, mature and brings to the table a lot of experience gained from past internships.” Langdon will work to promote the brands and the company on the Sure Champ Junior National Tour. She will gain experience in event planning and coordination, marketing, communications, and leadership. In addition to providing social media presence at the Junior Nationals and visiting with producers and exhibitors at the Sure Champ booth at various shows across the country. She will also help oversee the Junior National Mini-internship participants, something new to BioZyme in 2017.

Langdon is the 7th generation in her family to have grown up in an agricultural setting producing beef and row crops. She was heavily involved in youth programs, and showed Foundation Simmental, Charolais and Maine-Anjou heifers while maintaining various leadership positions in 4-H and FFA.

“I am looking forward to meeting producers all over the country to help educate them on the proven BioZyme products to give them the opportunity to enhance their operations. BioZyme has a great reputation in this industry and amazes me with their dedication to constant research and belief in each of their products,” said Langdon, who has used BioZyme products on her own livestock.

A recent graduate with an A.A.S degree in Agriculture Business from Kirkwood Community College, Langdon is always working to expand her knowledge base. She is honored to be a part of the BioZyme team and is looking forward to a great summer.

This is the sixth year for the marketing and communications summer internship at BioZyme. The interns are based in Saint Joseph, Mo., but will travel extensively to Junior National shows across the country.
