BioZyme® Employees Support Local Food Drives

UPDATE:

During the month of November, BioZyme Inc., employees connected to their local communities to live the company motto, “care that comes full circle.” Employees collectively gathered nearly 2,500 individual non-perishable food items to donate to their local food banks in response to the challenge issued by CEO Bob Norton at the beginning of the month. Employees at the St. Joseph, Mo.-corporate headquarters will donate food to Second Harvest Community Food Bank, a member of the Feeding America Network. Remote employees could take their items to their local food banks.

“I am so very proud of this family.  I am not surprised, however, at the generous outpouring and support as we recognize our blessings and share those blessings with others,” Norton said.

As a company that provides nutritional care and support to animals every day, this food drive was one way for employees to provide nutrition and support to those less fortunate in multiple communities. Employees were divided in teams to create a friendly competition with the winning team rewarded with an extra day of vacation in 2019.

In the spirit of thanksgiving, the BioZyme® Inc. employees are connecting to their local communities during the month of November. All employees have randomly been placed on teams with the challenge of collecting non-perishable food items for their local food banks. Employees at the St. Joseph, Mo.-corporate headquarters will donate food to Second Harvest Community Food Bank, a member of the Feeding America Network.

All remote employees, including Area Sales Managers and those on the marketing, nutrition and business development teams, are encouraged to take their donations to their local food banks and take a photo of their donation and submit it to the office to count toward their team totals. The company has the potential to make an impact in 30 communities in 16 different states.

“Our team works everyday to provide the best nutritional support to animals across the globe. As the days grow shorter and the temperatures drop, it is nice to know that our company cares not only for its customers, partners and employees, but for those less fortunate. With this food drive we are showing communities across the U.S. that BioZyme and its people provide care that comes full circle,” said Shelia Grobosky, Public Relations Coordinator.
