Jalen Johnson is the new Champion, Beef Product Specialist, for both BioZyme® Inc. and Furst-McNess. Supporting both companies, she will work directly with new and existing dealers in the Midwest, High Plains and the Southeast regions to promote McNess and BioZyme products.
The creation of this strategic alliance between BioZyme Inc., headquartered in Saint Joseph, Missouri, and Furst-McNess based in Rockford, Illinois, supports both companies’ desire for offering passionate solutions using the value of research and the reliability of two long-standing brands.
Johnson, of Lodi, Wisconsin, transitions into her new responsibilities in early January. In the newly created position, she will work with the technical staff of each company to ensure that optimal support and guidance for customers and dealers is being provided.
“We are excited to welcome Jalen to our team. Both Furst-McNess and BioZyme manufacture and distribute animal nutrition with impactful technologies within their products. We anticipate this alliance will lead to mutually beneficial manufacturing and distribution opportunities for both firms,” said Lisa Norton, BioZyme President and CEO.
Johnson began her career with Furst-McNess Company in January 2019 as a Formulations Coordinator at the Lodi facility. In November 2022, she was promoted to Livestock Feeding Consultant working with multispecies customers in the southeast portion of Wisconsin. She earned a degree in Animal Science with a minor in Ag Business from University of Wisconsin, Platteville. Her knowledge and experience in agriculture and her interest in beef nutrition and show feeds will be extremely beneficial in her new role.
“With my passion for the livestock industry, I am very excited to be a part of this special collaboration between BioZyme and Furst-McNess,” Johnson said.
